Good morning Church!
I think it’s happening! I really think so! The Great Awakening is in full swing! I have been praying for this for at least 15 years, and I can see it coming down the track like a speeding train! And it’s gaining momentum! I am so excited (can you tell by the exclamation points???)!!! For a while there, I thought this event may never happen in my lifetime, but it’s here! And it is GLORIOUS!!! You may be asking, Bob have you lost your mind? What in the blue blazes are you rambling about? Or you may be looking up the number for the Paddy Wagon in Barnesville. I assure you I am not crazy, or let me think about that for a minute…minutes up, yes I am but hear me out…
Many years ago, it was unheard of for an athlete to openly praise God. The mainstream media, who I have grown to deplore, made it a point to make it sound weird if that happened. There were articles written about how unseemly praising God in public was, and how Christians were made out to be cultists. Remember how they excoriated Tim Tebow for praying on the field? But it’s happening! And you won’t hear or see this from the lamestream media, who I have grown to deplore, but the momentum is building! Observe: Will Howard, QB for THE Ohio State University opens his press conference by saying “First of all, I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” Quinn Ewers, QB for Texas says his calm in the huddle comes from his relationship with Jesus, THE Ohio State’s Traveon Henderson and Gee Scott hold a public prayer service and people are baptized right there on the spot, a feat repeated in a small football town in Colorado and the player speaks about it before uttering a word about the team and its preparation, a young player saying he came to Clemson because of Coach Dabo Sweeney and his faith walk, 20 or more of the Cleveland Browns getting in a circle pre-game asking for the Lord’s blessings, CJ Stroud of the Houston Texans dropping his head in prayer on the field over an injured opposing player, Gracie Hunt, grand-daughter of the owner of the Kansas City Chiefs standing on the field before their games reading the scripture of the day, NASCAR driver Corey LaJoie standing in the middle of the track at Texas Motor Speedway after he was involved in an accident with Ryan Newman who’s car had flipped over with his head bowed in prayer. I could go on and on and on and…but I see it happening! And it is GLORIOUS!!! GOD WILL NOT BE SILENCED!!! Look around you, even look at social media or Google athletes praising God and if you don’t get excited as me, (well there’s that crazy thing), just thank God that there are people and there will be many more that will praise Him openly in public. FAITH IS ALIVE IN 2025!!!
In Him,
Brother Bob
